Management
Chris Houle
Chief Executive OfficerAs co-founder and CEO, Chris partnered with Peter Murray to bring Quantrix Modeler to market. Chris has more than a decade of business leadership experience, driving successful strategies for companies in the software business.
Before joining Quantrix, Chris was CEO & chairman of Scala Business Solutions, a leading publicly-traded ERP software provider. From an initial role as managing director, he rose to the top rank by dramatically improving net revenue and returning the company to profitability..
Prior to Scala, Chris was a privatization consultant in Eastern and Central Europe serving companies ranging from the steel to gas industries. In his pre-Europe years he held management positions in Finance, IT and Marketing Strategy at Ameritech.
Chris received an appointment to the Creative Economy Council of Maine by Maine Governor John Baldacci and is currently serving a three year term.
Chris earned an MBA from the University of Chicago, a Masters in International Business from the Katholieke Universiteit in Belgium, and a Bachelor of Arts in finance and economics from Bradley University.
Peter Murray
Chief Technology OfficerAs founder and CTO, Peter has led Quantrix from its concept stage through development of the commercial application used today in more than 40 countries. Previously, Peter was CTO of Subx, a company that developed Java applications. Prior to Subx, he served the B-to-B Seafood Exchange Gofish.com as their CTO, successfully aligning their technology plan with their business goals.
Peter was also founder & CEO of New England Internet Services (NEIS), an early ISP and consulting organization, which was acquired by CommTel in 1999. Prior to NEIS, Peter was lead engineer at Lighthouse Design, where he led the development of Quantrix for the NeXTSTEP operating system.
Peter serves on the Board of Directors of Maine's Software and Information Technology Industry Association (MESDA). He also sits on the Technology Business Review Board for the Maine Technology Institute. Peter was named CxO of the Year for 2008 by Tech Maine for his contributions to the local software industry.
Peter graduated from Stanford University with a degree in symbolic systems and artificial intelligence.
Kevin Lynch
Vice President of SalesKevin is responsible for the Quantrix Sales organization and driving our ongoing multi-channel sales plans and strategies. He has 20 years of software sales and management experience that has been gained in both early stage/venture organizations as well as large scale/mature technology companies.
Prior to joining Quantrix, Kevin has held several senior management positions within leading software organizations including Dun & Bradstreet Software, Integral Systems, and Oracle. From 1995 to 2001, Kevin was responsible for leading the successful entry of European software developer Scala Business Solutions, NV into the North American market as President of Scala North America, Inc. Kevin worked directly with current Quantrix CEO Chris Houle during his tenure as CEO of that organization.
Michael Salisbury
Quality Assurance & Support ManagerMike oversees the Customer Support and Quality Assurance programs at Quantrix. Before joining Quantrix, Mike implemented Software Quality Assurance programs for the CommTel Web Development Group and Gofish.com, an on-line B-to-B seafood exchange. Both endeavors led to significant improvement of the quality of the software releases in a rapid release environment.
Mike started his career at Hi-Tech Software, the leading provider of financial and clinical software systems to long-term care facilities in Northern New England. At Hi-Tech, Mike was responsible for the organization and profitability of the training and support operations.
Mike earned a Bachelor of Sciences in Accounting from Thomas College and an AA in Liberal Arts from the University of Maine at Farmington.
Els Scholten
Customer Relations & Communications ManagerEls is responsible for Customer Relations, Communications and Partner management/relations at Quantrix. She has over a decade of international experience in the business software industry in several customer focused positions including major account management, communications and public relations, event management and most recently as customer relations & communications manager.
Before joining Quantrix, Els was Key Account Manager for Scala Hospitality in Europe, a vertical market group of Scala Business Solutions that provided Integrated Financial Management Information Solutions (IFMIS) for high end hotel clients in Europe, Africa, Middle East, Asia Pacific and South America. She held other key customer relations positions at Scala which included organizing international events and conferences, public relations and internal communications.
Els earned a Masters Degree in English Language and Literature at the University of Amsterdam, Netherlands with a specialty in translation.
Steven Bailey, CPA, MSA
Consulting ManagerSteve leads Quantrix Professional Services as Consulting Manager. His history with Quantrix goes back to the company's earliest days as one of the first corporate customers. Steve is an expert in business modeling and imparts 'best practices' in all client engagements.
Steve received his Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Accountancy at the University of Southern Maine, graduating Summa Cum Laude. He has over ten years experience in both public and private accounting and finance. Steve has held positions with Coopers & Lybrand, PricewaterhouseCoopers and the accounting firm of Berry, Dunn, McNeil & Parker. He was also an Adjunct Professor at University of Southern Maine.
Steve is a licensed certified public accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
David Phillips
Marketing ManagerDavid leads the marketing effort at Quantrix, bringing broad experience in software company operations - from marketing and sales to product development and project management. He's worked with both start-ups and industry-leading organizations. Prior to joining Quantrix, he was founder of Freestone Group, a software marketing consultancy.
As part of an international business career, David has lived and worked in N. America, Europe, Asia, and Australia. He is an alumnus of the MBA Enterprise Corps, a US Agency for International Development funded program that assists companies in developing countries. David serves on the advisory boards of a laboratory software company and an organization dedicated to conservation of striped bass.
David earned a Bachelor of Arts from St. Lawrence University and a Master of International Management from the Thunderbird School of Global Management.
