Management
Brian Cabana
Engineering Manager & Lead Engineer
Brian is the engineering manager of the highly productive engineering team responsible for the development of Quantrix Modeler and add-on products, DataNAV and DataPush. As lead engineer, Brian leads product design and development of new features and enhancements. He has actively participated in the design, production and testing phases of every release of Quantrix since version 1.0. He also provides developer support for users of QAPI and the Quantrix Development Kit. Additionally, Brian is the lead technical resource for IDBS in the integration of Quantrix into the IDBS software suite.
Prior to his tenure at Quantrix, Brian served in the U.S. Navy as a Nuclear Submarine Officer. After leaving the Navy, Brian obtained his teaching certification and taught math and science to high school students.
Brian earned a Bachelor of Science from the U.S. Naval Academy and a Masters degree in Computer Science from the University of Southern Maine.
Valerie Grenier
Professional Services
Valerie is the professional services lead at Quantrix. She has over fifteen years experience in finance and accounting in the software, construction and retail industries. An expert Quantrix modeler, Valerie provides training, consulting, model building and support to our customers around the world. She is also responsible for the creation of Quantrix Modeler training materials and documentation.
Prior to joining Quantrix in 2005, Valerie served as Controller for a local retailer; overseeing five locations in southern Maine. In that position, Valerie was responsible for bringing all locations on-line with a centrally controlled computerized pricing and inventory control system. Additionally, she provided all company computer training and user documentation.
Valerie earned a Bachelor of Sciences in Accounting and Finance from the University of Southern Maine.
David Phillips
Marketing Manager
David leads the marketing effort at Quantrix. He brings broad experience in software company operations - from marketing and sales to product development and project management. He's worked with both start-ups and industry-leading organizations. Prior to joining Quantrix, he was Chief Marketing Officer of Freestone Group, a software marketing consultancy.
As part of an international business career, David has lived and worked in N. America, Europe, Asia, and Australia. He is an alumnus of the MBA Enterprise Corps, a US Agency for International Development funded program that assists companies in developing countries. David serves on the advisory boards of a laboratory software company and an organization dedicated to conservation of striped bass.
David earned a Bachelor of Arts from St. Lawrence University and a Master of International Management from the Thunderbird School of Global Management.
Michael Salisbury
Product Manager
Mike oversees the Customer Support and Quality Assurance programs at Quantrix and helps set the product direction and strategy of the Quantrix Modeler application. Before joining Quantrix, Mike implemented Software Quality Assurance programs for the CommTel Web Development Group and Gofish.com, an on-line B-to-B seafood exchange. Both endeavors led to significant improvement of the quality of the software releases in a rapid release environment.
Mike started his career at Hi-Tech Software, the leading provider of financial and clinical software systems to long-term care facilities in Northern New England. At Hi-Tech, Mike was responsible for the organization and profitability of the training and support operations.
Mike earned a Bachelor of Sciences in Accounting from Thomas College and an AA in Liberal Arts from the University of Maine at Farmington.
Els Scholten
Customer & Partner Development Manager
Els is responsible for customer and partner development at Quantrix. She has over a decade of international experience in the business software industry in several customer focused positions including major account management, communications and public relations, event management.
Before joining Quantrix, Els was Key Account Manager for Scala Hospitality in Europe, a vertical market group of Scala Business Solutions that provided Integrated Financial Management Information Solutions (IFMIS) for high end hotel clients in Europe, Africa, Middle East, Asia Pacific and South America. She held other key customer relations positions at Scala which included organizing international events and conferences, public relations and internal communications.
Els earned a Masters Degree in English Language and Literature at the University of Amsterdam, Netherlands with a specialty in translation.
