Mike Salisbury,


Mike is responsible for leading the effort to define the product roadmap and strategy for the Quantrix Modeler application and its associated products. Mike also directs the day-to-day operations of the Portland based Quantrix business unit. In 2002, Mike was the first payroll hire for Quantrix and worked closely with management to help grow the company from an entrepreneurial startup to the establishment of Quantrix as an important business unit of IDBS.

Mike has spent a career in customer facing technology roles working for software companies specializing in long term care, time and attendance and B2B online exchanges. Most recently, Mike served as BI Product manager for CIEE helping the organization to enhance the Business Intelligence capabilities for the financial and enrollment systems that supports their student cultural exchange program offerings.

Mike earned an Associate of Arts degree in Liberal Arts from the University of Maine at Farmington and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management / Accounting from Thomas College.

Brian Cabana

Brian Cabana,

Engineering Manager / Lead Engineer

Brian is the Engineering Manager and Lead Engineer for the Quantrix team and has been with the company for over ten years. He has actively participated in the design, production and testing phases of each of the releases of Quantrix since version 1.0. He currently manages the engineering team and is the lead engineer on the various projects for Quantrix Modeler and the Qloud.

Prior to his tenure at Quantrix, Brian served in the U.S. Navy as a Nuclear Submarine Officer. After leaving the Navy, Brian obtained his teaching certification and taught math and science to high school students.

Brian earned a Bachelor of Science from the US Naval Academy and a Masters degree in Computer Science from the University of Southern Maine.

Jay Cawley

Jay Cawley,

Test Manager

Jay has been with Quantrix for five years and is the Test Manager for the Quantrix QA team. He graduated in 1997 from Trinity International University just outside Chicago with a BA in Business/Marketing. He brings QA experience from working with pharmaceutical contracting software at Imany, Inc. in Portland, ME and benefits administration software while working at Hewitt Associates in Deerfield, IL.

Jay also has seven years of graphic design experience in print advertising and media design which has come in very handy at Quantrix for UI design and miscellaneous graphic projects.

James Kipling

James Kipling,

Product Manager

James joined Quantrix in 2015 as Product Manager and initially worked with the team on the successful Quantrix version 6 project. He now leads the development effort for the Quantrix Modeler product working on the product roadmap and strategy, as well as coordinating marketing and sales activities.

Prior to Quantrix, James held positions at IDBS in the Office of Operations and later as a Sales Operations Manager. He has worn other hats during his career assuming roles as a Helpdesk Support Analyst and also as a Software Tester.

James holds a BSc (Hons) in Astrophysics from the University of Bristol, UK.
